we are picking up a new caravan next thursday and obviously want to get it insured before hand.do anyone know the best company to go to for the insurance ?? who are the good and bad insurance companies i have been told by people to stay away from e&l??

f you want the best service and fastest settlement of claims with the fewest quibbles then the CC insurance is the one to go for.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013

CC for me too! No hassle unlike Caravan Guard. I tried to get a quote from them online but all I got was 'Do I have this fitted, That fitted, Cannot quote unless you have a tracker fitted etc, Need more info about storage etc.
Like Derek, I lost the will to live! CC has thorough cover, stress free to insure and by all accounts there is no hassle when claiming!
