agree do not remove any settled mastic as cracks can appear.i clean mine with a stiff toothbrush and a cream cleaner with bleach,cost 50p.do not use on coloured paint.do not splash your cushions.wash with clean water.

yes this stuff works really well,did all mine after we had just got the van.not let it get dirty since then.

I would also be concerned using bleach or anything else strong or abrasive around the exteria of our caravan.

Do you need to to clean it? personally I would live with it if it meant the sealant did its job for longer.

used it for years to remove stubborn stains or ground in dirt with no adverse effects to paintwork or seals.and i am fussy.most cleaners as good as they are will remove some marks but not all,like hand marks round the top of the plastic battery box lid where you open it.this stuff brings it up clean again.you only need to do it once a year,make sure to rinse with clean water and do not use on a coloured paint.as a general wash i use fenwicks.

The black on the mastic is from the diesel fumes. Having sold our Kia and bought a VW we no longer have any dirty diesel fumes so have cleaned all the mastic. Now sparkling.
