HI we are new to caravaning bought a van havent been out yet,it came with an isabella ambassador awning and we need a breathable ground sheet .where can I buy one at a reasonable price ,and do they make them to fit your model of awning,or is this unnecessary .Thanks AL
We bought ours from our local caravan shop, you can also get them from eBay etc, they come in various sizes so buy one that fits the width and breadth of your awning. I think we paid about £35 for ours.
Good luck with caravanning too!!

If you cant do someone a good turn, don`t do them a bad one,its nice to be nice you know, and little things mean much more later in life.
Pete.
In our local caravan shop they sell it by the running foot , and cut it off the roll to the size you want. its £3 a running foot for the 8ft wide.
Its the rubbery mesh type with little holes all over . theres another almost the same but with a pattern worked in thats £3.50 a ft .
This site sell lots of different types and also do factory seconds much cheaper even after taking postage into account .
This has my vote everytime. It is certainly not the cheapest breatheable groundsheet, but it's well worth it. We now have one for our full awning and for our lightweight porch. It's as close as you can get to a breatheable groundsheet that doesn't let stuff through (IMHO), and amazingly enough, when you lift the groundsheet hardly anything sticks to the underside, which means less frequent cleaning. Some of the more rubberized sort - the sort that look like a bigger version of shreddies breakfast cereal - are more prone to bits of mud sticking in the little holes (again just my opinion). No doubt others will have different experiences.
It does come in different sizes and the Kampa Easitread is available in grey with a blue tint, and grey with a green tint. Have a good search around for the cheapest price though. Usually good deals available from http://www.awnings.co.uk/scripts/prodview.asp?idProduct=100
We have the one with the Holes in and its been great, we've not had any problem with worm casts but if we've had to put it down on wet pitches then yes it does let bits of mud etc stick to it but when we get home we just let it dry and brush it off no problem . I thought that was the idea of it being Breathable !!!! It let the grass through so it does'nt end up a yellow patch when you leave. It's only my opinion though .

The Kampa Easitread is a breatheable groundsheet but does not have 'holes' as such - it is a fairly close weave.. It allows the grass beneath to breathe and we have never left a pitch as a yellow patch after using it. Sometimes we have left very small yellow patches. These have been caused by other objects that we have left standing on the floor, on top of the groundsheet e.g. waste bins with a solid bottom (where we have just disposed of the rubbish in the bin liner and left the bin in the same place). We now always try and move the bins from time to time to avoid this happening.
we bought this 160417517211 off ebay from groundsheetman says its slight seconds but it was excellent, ordered it one day and paid for by 11am, and it arrived next day, all for £32 including postage, dont think they can be beaten on service or price, there feedback prooves this, hope this help thanks
ps ground sheets are excellent they keep alot of mud, grass etc out the van,
Just one point, we caravan in France quite a lot and find that many pitches have little grass. So we carry a light weight tarp with us for use under the breathable groundsheet when pitches are muddy or have little grass.
