We stayed at a site in Banbury and whilst there we saw a Pegasus which didn't have a black gas locker, but had the same sort normally found on caravans. I know the black locker wasn't favoured by a lot of people, so wondered if they decided to change it. Has anyone else seen one without the black gas locker?

not seen one but think it would be a good idea to have white as an option for 2011 models ?
personally not a huge fan of the black lid but wife loves it as its different to all the other vans.
they could have got the baily logo on the lid to illuminate blue along with the led grabhandles though......coolio ![](https://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/chatter/forum_images/smiley20.gif)

I've not seen a White one but I think it would be nicer, however I do like the black it's unusual and looks like the van has a nose!!
I've only seen peggys out on the road not close up is there anything written on it or Bailey I only ask as in some ads for the van it looks like it glows in the dark, probably just the ad but I did wonder.

I don't think it is the colour that is the problem with the Pegasus lockers its their pitifully small size I don't like. Where on earth do people keep things?

Under the bed, in the side wet lockers AND if you remove the on-board water container there is access to a full width space albeit with only a small access locker, ok for brushes, windbreak etc always taking care with nose-weight.

Small being the operative word. My noseweight is steady at 70kg the cars max is 75kg. We too keep things under the fixed bed but I prefer things like the EHU lead, Wastehog, SatTv lead, ramps / chocks, 2 x gas bottles, steak to tether the dogs to, hitch lock (when not in use) awning carpet, awning skirt, electric drill and doggie water bowls in the spacious front locker afforded by our van. Under the fixed bed live things like the chairs, sat dish & stand, Aquaroll, windbreak, cadac, coat stand, fire extinguisher (in transit) and table for outside. If I had a peggy these items would be scattered to the 4 winds in the tiddly little lockers provided. Buy a peggy take the lemming approach to caravanning!

............" If I had a peggy these items would be scattered to the 4 winds in the tiddly little lockers provided. Buy a peggy take the lemming approach to caravanning!"..
Spread around the lockers they are WE discover easier to find with rummaging around. Lemming.....? does that also apply to anybody that buys say a Ford car, or has bought a Plasma or Lcd TV? I buy what I want with my money and leave other people to spend theirs. Incidently we went to buy a Series 7 Sancerre in 2009, but couldn't stand the dark wood. As individuals we are all perfectly free to do as we want , just like verone else!

I don't think the Bailey Pegasus or Olympus will become design classics. Instead, I think they are a passing fad - not necessarily in terms of the new construction but in terms of their appearance.
Personally, I don't like the look of them. The slab shape and that funny front end - the Olympus looks like an animal with nose and whiskers to me! A sort of 'bunny face' As for the trendy LED 'fairy lights' in the handles - hmmm - not for me, I'm afraid. I doubt if Bailey were aiming at my sector of the market though and I guess they appeal more to the younger caravanner.
As with cars that had radical looks (Fiat Multipla, Citroen Vel Satis) they were applauded by some at the time of launch as being different and exciting, but I prefer the more enduring classics myself. Anything that never was the height of fashion tends not to become embarrasssingly unfashionable later.
Nevertheless, I hope that those who have chosen to own them enjoy their caravans as much as I enjoy mine and I fully respect their choice of 'pride and joy'. Each to his own!

I've been Reading this again, and it's nice to see how individual we are what's ones persons meat is another mans poison, there will always be vans that some will like some will hate, I like the peggy and Olympus but probably wouldn't buy one as they don't really call to me, I hate the stealth but others love it, I have a lunar because it was the perfect van for us and yet I know some people wouldn't touch one, at the end of the day you chose that van because it's the right one for you so enjoy yours and appreciate others love theirs.

"As individuals we are all perfectly free to do as we want , just like verone else! "
Not quite true as people waiting for traditional build caravan from Bailey will testify. Production line geared up for Alu-Tec at the moment so even though you ordered a GT60 or Ranger if it hadn't been made before the line converted basically tough. Unless that is you want to upgrade to one of the Alu-Te vans rolling off the production line? (at extra cost naturally).
You have to hand it to Bailey they have certainly scored a hit with the Peggy. I wonder how many people have bought Peggys who wouldn't have bought its predecessor the Senator? How many previouws Pageant owners have now bought the Peggy, which it must be remembered is the Senator replacement? It a stealthy approach Bailey have taken and I take my hat off to them it will certainly have made them some dosh.
Its precicely because I do favour freedom of choice that I think Bailey have possibly taken advantage here.
And to those who have Peggys if you are happy with them good luck to you I hope they give you many years of sterling service.
