I have a 2004 Bailey Bordeaux in storage 200 miles away so hence my question. Does anyone know the size of the jockey wheel on this van as I am having a mover fitted later this year and I have been told it would be wise to change the Jockey to a wide wheel type.

My son had a mover fitted last year, his jockey wheel was changed to the appropriate one when the mover was fitted by the dealer.

Pneumatic is best as it will reduce the chance of any damage to the A frame if you hit an obstruction. Great value jockey wheels on ebay. Have a look at this:

I was told not to go for pneumatic as they are a pain if they deflate while in storage. The dealer recommended that I go for a wide wheel plastic instead.

I cant get into the storage area only the collection compound. The owners get quite cheesed off having to move vans around with flat tyres.

I have used pneumatic jockey wheels since 1995 and I have never yet had one go down, I always check the pressure in it before going on a journey as I do with the van's road wheels and spare.

Get a track pump. They are ok for pumping up car tyres & are better than foot pumps imho. Then you would be able to adjust pressures in both jockey wheel & road tyres before you leave your storage.

Would be furious if my van was in storage and it was moved by the owners!!

Pneumatic is much better as the van can get stuck in a rut with a hard wheel. You can get a good jockey wheel here.

John thats part of the security facility. There is a storage comopund and a collection compound. No-one is allowed in the storage only the collection compound. We like that and that's one reason why we chose it. It just requires a little notice so that the van can be made available.
