Hi, I am currently looking for new caravan storage places. Can anyone recommend any in the Ellesmere Port area. I am currently with Greenacres in Hooton, but I find that the caravans are too close to each other. Can't even get the caravan door open. Any infor appreciated.
i have mine stored just of the queensferry bypass called ternway, (will double check later), they are close together but i can get the door open, but i am looking at bringing her nearer my home on the wirral after the season ends.
We store ours at the old Champion Spark Plugs site at Arrowe Park. There is loads of space and you can pay monthly and give a month's notice whenever you like. No 12 months notice. It is a tarmaced area and is really easy to move the van into the space by hand.
We used to use the Cassoa site off Sealand Road. The bays are wide - you would get the door open no problem. However, we found the access road to be too tight for manoeuvering into the spaces. And the ground was full of rabbit holes making it impossible to move the van by hand.
I also noticed the other day that Burton Nurseries on the Chester High Road are advertising storage. No idea of the facilities or prices though. We are very happy with Champion Storage. (We used Greenacres for our first van and found it too tight as well)
i am struggling to find somewhere on the wirral, but will look into the arrowe park one, dont fancy towing it from there as a novice tower, but hey it is so close to my house.
Tern Storage isn't cheap - we brought our caravan home about 3 years ago and it was over £300 a year then. We didn't give any notice to speak of to take the van away.
Thanks for the replies everyone. I've renewed with Greenacres for the time being as they are close by, but I checked the caravan this weekend and the caravn next to mine has parked so close I can barely unlock the door, so not happy really. Seeing as I'm already paying them £300 a year I may enquire into getting the caravan at Burton Nurseries. I know they have CCTV and is also planning to extend to a nearby field and build facilities. It will cost £60 more a year but may be worth it.Thanks
