OH cleaning the electric wired spotlight and the small piece of rectangular glass dropped and smashed  Have been to the local dealer but they don't do replacment glass, need to buy complete light which is £20 plus fitting as OH does not do electricty, each to their own trade he says, and then it might not be the same as the light on the other side of the van as it is a 2006 model, which would mean 2 lights.   Anyone got any idea if there are places where they have odd spares from caravans that have been scrapped?

Spotlights

Loads of cheap ones on ebay
It might work out cheaper to replace both with a cheaper set, than buying just the one matching one .

Why not get a piece of glass cut to fit?

If the piece that was in there broke on dropping, I take it in slivers rather than cubes, then is is standard glass

Thanks both, prob is we put the glass in the dustbin and guess what, its been collected!  Still your suggestions help, could still take the plastic cover in to a glass place and see what they say.  Or I could even trust the OH to take the cover off the other one and take the glass in as a template - now that is a dilemma LOL

Cheers

It would be best to take the other glass as a template for the thickness as well...

on the subject of removal you could always hold a bath sheet under it while he removed it don't do a Del-boy though

OH says that the glass in curved so a glass cutter would not have anything like it in stock.  He has fitted windows for a living and he never, ever, dropped one!  Reading my initial post again I should have included the fact that he had put it on a royal blue wheelie bin lid and he was in the garage when I came out and opened said bin.  How was I to see an itsi weenie bit of glass or even suspect that he'd put it in such a daft place.  Of course he says I should have seen it   Not the best comment he could have made!

Yes, that episode of Del-boy and the chandelier was fantastic and always make me laugh no matter how many times I've seen it.  Classic.
