HI all, I'm just thinking about the Gasrefill situation as I'm going to Germany for 6 -8 weeks in mid. August to mid. Octobertime ,....is it possible to purchase their Gasbottles and a their Regulator and use my Equipment as usual in the Caravan??
Yes you can, but it might be quite expensive. If you have EHU on sites then you may not use that much gas.
We carry a 2 ring electric hob, a small Lidl electric oven, and an electric grill plate that we use whenever possible.
We were 3 months in France last year, September/November, we had 2 CalorLite propanes with us (6kg gas in each), and only just started on the second.
What cylinders do you have at the moment? You may be able to pick up some extra ones at your tip that you can swap for something suitable to take with you. There is always Camping Gaz.

Hi, thanks for your reply.....I have a 1x4kg(ish) butanebottle and 1x4kg(ish)propane both Calorgas....and I've got a 907 campinggaz bottle....I don't mind buying one when I'm there, I was just wondering if it's all compatible and OK to use in the Van, if I did have to use the german-gas that's available locally there.
If you wanted to buy German gas bottle/regulator or pigtail if you have a more modern bulkhead regulator they would work ok in your 'van. Worth investigating tho are the newish BP Gas Lite bottles. These are available in several countries as well as the UK & might be exchangeable in Germany.
