We have had our twin axle van coming up for two years and have always been quite lucky when leveling on site with just one chock when needed. However recently we have been away and needed to use two chocks. Driving off one wasn't to bad but coming off two really makes the van rock but cant see how else we would do it as we can't reverse it off when using them on both wheels one side.
Any advice would be gratefully received, and any suggestions of products that people are currently using.
Thanks
Mandy
I always reverse the van onto 2 ramps and the rear axel goes straight over the first ramp and onto the second. When pulling away we pull the van over both ramps which slightly rocks the van, but it you take it nice and slow its not a problem, your van will rock around far more than that on our poor uk roads once your doing 30-40 mph.

I've just got a twin - haven't had to level it yet! I've seen Milenco ramps which have a diagram on the box showing them placed back to back for use with twin axles, so you drive over and stop when the van is level.
Another method I've read about is driving up one ramp to the top then stopping, then putting the other ramp "backwards" behind the rear wheel and reversing the caravan onto it, stopping when the correct level is reached, then chocking the wheels.
I'll be trying out this second option soon, as my ramps have a big lip on them and can't be placed back to back.
Staff at my dealers advised against driving off the end of a ramp as Mandy B suggests, as being a bit rough on the van.
i have 3 lengths of decking from left over garden project all 2 inches shorter that the other first one beig quiet a bit longer than the gap in the 2 axles inc wheels and reverse on to them if need more height pull off and put in no2 piece try again and 3 if needed only need 1 time works for me if that makes any sense !!!!
We have a Bessacarr twin axle and I bought two bulldog levellers off eBay for levelling with. No need to reverse onto ramps or planks of wood anymore, just slide these under the lower side wheels and raise them as required, Best things I have ever bought, can also be used as an extra security device as you can chain them through the wheels if you feel it necessary.
Why don't you just put the two ramps back to back with two bricks between them to make the same height,so that you reverse up the first ramp, then the first wheel up will be the first wheel going down the second ramp, only problem with this way is that you might not reach max height of both ramps
Tried out the two levelling ramps method on the drive last night- looks like it should work fine, although thinking about it, I need to jack up the second axle anyway to fit the Alko Secure lock, so will maybe have a re-think...
