Hi folks, my carver motor mover only works when really close to the antenna, and sometimes I have to touch the antenna with remote before the rollers move, new batteries in remote and 110amp battery ok,is this a remote control problem, suggestions please,Non soft start.
This had a Truma mover. New batteries in the remote didnt make any difference. It did however work a little better when you stood on the right side rather than the left. We just put up with it until we sold the van.
We have a Powrtouch on our present van and have no such problems anymore.
------------- I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left - Seasick Steve 2008
I currently have the antenna wire looped through the chassis to improve signal pick up,using the chassis as big antenna,it works better but if walk away it stops, say 4 foot it stops.
We had a similar problem with our mover, when the van went in for its service last week I defected the mover & it was returned having had a new control box fitted & remote supplied.
My dad has just had the same issue with his Carver mover, he's an engineer and after the caravan repair company couldn't work out what to do he's ordered a replacement part from farnell for £12 and saved himself a fortune :D
ours used to set off the guys house alarm across the road each time we used it.he asked me to change it to another frequency and i said i can not so he did something to his alarm.
------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
Next doors car key fob used to ring my doorbell when he locked his car. Took me months to work out why my bell was ringing when the bloke next door said no one had rung it.
