Hope someone can help with this. The father in law has made a kit car of a 1940s pickup truck , now it dosnt have wing mirrors but he wants to tow his van. Does anyone know of a suitable towing mirror.
I know you guys will come up with the answer.
Regards
Steve
I think Tentz might be thinging of these, as this was the mirror that crossed my mind too ...
Full info can be found here, they're Smat Weekend towing mirrors (though not confined to weekend use). Think they're Swedish, but those who use them reckon they're excellent.
hi the reply by "Tentz" refers to "Smat weekend mirrors" I use these on my Disco2 and they are excellent no vibration at all even though my pair must be at least 15 years old and they have been used for many thousands of miles in all weathers. They are not cheap but you can find them for about £23 each. You need to check that the bottom of the door does not have a rubber edge to it as the strap has a metal "hook" that goes round the bottom of the door, and that you have enough gap to hook the top bracket between the belt line weatherstrip and the glass, if its close try using thin tape on the bracket to stop any risk of the glass getting scratched when you wind the window up or down.
