Any one use these refillable cylinders in their van? Where is the cheapest to buy and what bits do you need?

I suggest you first see where routinely you can fill up as getting a car caravan unit alongside an LPG pump I found was a problem. Why are these pumps often located in the places caravans cant get?

The basic minimum requirement is a bottle of 6 or 11 kg capacity and a filling kit [pump bayonet and delivery pipe].
With a caravan I feel its best integrating a Gaslow bottle with a standby Calor [etc] as if you run out or cant access a pump you can always reasonably conveniently get a refilled Calor.

IMO its only attractive to those doing a lot of winter caravanning or extended Continental caravanning and because of access is better suited to motorhomes.

The whole idea is you take the cylinder out and take it to the lpg place to refill. I beleive they are expensive to buy.

The topic subject is "Gaslow" which has no provision for being charged once removed. Unless you want to trail its umbilical cord with it off to the LPG station.Its a "fixed" refillable system.

I have recently fitted a system. The gas is much cheaper than buying a replacement. I have found it easy so far to pull up onto a garage forecourt with a little care. I only have the one cylinder (and a campinggaz for the cadac) and I intend to keep the gaslow filled when convenient rather than let it run down. The last top up cost £2.65, that got a smile from the attendant.
