Paddling pool - soapy water and then pretend you are "treading grapes" but make sure they are absolutely bone dry before you put them back in or you may get mould growing in the middle. Or...

You could try steam cleaning them but I think a domestic one will only penetrate about an inch or so. Or...

Power washer ..

If you do it tomorrow morning, given the good weather forecast they should be completely dry by Sunday night

Thankyou for your advise 89angela, Great minds think alike lol. I did the very same thing to my first caravan lol it took me all day. 8 seats = 8 seperate washes in the big paddling pool then i think a week drying the blasted things, Leaving them out in the sun in the day then jumping on them on a tarpauling to remove excess water to bring them in side in the evening. I swear it was so hard work, the problem was that as you know sponge absorbs water. I was praying for a miracle i think lol. or just a short cut lol, Oh well I think i better tell the kids the pool's off limits tomo lol. Thanks again, Laura xx

Shame the covers aren't removable. Would upholstery foam not do it for you? If not, consider getting a price from a car valeter to clean it for you. He or she will be used to doing such a job & have all the kit to sort out the wet covers.

Sorry but I don't think you will ever get rid of the smell. Replacement is probably the only cure.

Had a 2 month old car that someone had smoked in and never got rid of the smell. We had that valetted twice to no avail. Don't waste your money.

I would tend to agree with John. In the caravan magazines there is generally a few companies advertsing new foam seats & cushions cut to  whatever size you need. Might be worth getting a quote from one or two.
