Hello we are new to caravanning.  We have a Swift Corniche with a Maxol Monte Carlo 200 oven.  We can only raise the oven temperature to 130 degrees centigrade which is not very good for cooking.  Is this all we can expect or is there a problem with the oven ?.  What sort of temperature should we expect ?   Thanks in anticipation.

I had a similar problem with our brand new van oven. They had to replace the thermal temperature valve if I remember correctly, works great now although I find in all vans I have had that I normally have to cook a little longer than the oven at home.

Thanks Eddie & Jane.  From your reply and all the many comments by others it seems that when the Maxol monte Carlo 2000 is working well it is a good cooker.  However from lots of the replies it appears that the cooker can suffer quite badly from pipe blockages etc.

My next step is to remove the cooker and give it and the pipework a good service.  Thanks to you and all the others that have commented.
