hi we recently bought our first caravan,wee 90 ABBEY EX 4 berth, its great wee caravan all though we are stuck for space for tv! its currently sitting on wee shelf that folds out beside sink, its fine there, but it would be great if wee could mount it up out of the way, when am cooking i have to lift tv away. only thing is would there be such a thing that we could mount it up maybe over at wardrobe wall or would the tv be too heavy! its an 19in lcd tv.. any advice would be great, as i said we are new to all this, heading away again on friday for weekend, trip number 3, cant wait, ohhhhh plus we got a satelite dish and box last week, we feel really cool now. hahaha.. thanks everyone..

Congrats on the new van - hope you have a great time...

Not sure about your layout but most caravan walls are not the strongest/thickest (to save weight, presumably) - and hopefully it should be obvious not to try attach anything to an exterior wall .

There are lots of TV wall mounts available for all TV sizes - the issue is how heavy yours is. We have a 15-inch LCD on a mount bolted (not screwed) to a divider and seems fine (well, hasn't dropped off yet) but can't really speak for your setup.

i fitted one of these but you need to re-enforce your wardrobe wall inside first.i glued a piece of half inch ply inside,when dry i bolted the bracket to the wall.been fine.

Hi,

We have one of these fitted http://www.tv-wall-brackets.co.uk/page-152.html to the side of our wardrobe wall with bolts not screws, the only thing we have noticed is that we need to regulary check as the bolts seem to slacken quite often, I think it is due to the movement of the motorhome when travelling, I do not know if it would be the same for a caravan.  Our tv is a 19inch combi and it has been o.k. so far.

yes it will swing about.



We don't. I just use a bungy strap to keep it in place. I take the strap off when on site

Definitely - apart from the risk of damage, you don't want your TV on view when you stop at a services, for example.
