Carole - TBH, our annex doesn't get much use, even after all the bother of getting it.  Quite often, we find that we can't really afford to take the extra weight & poles and we don't look forward to putting it all up.  We fondly refer to our awning as 'an argument in a bag' so you might be just as well off without the extra kit!

i think you are right lol.... really must get it & the 2 porch awnings we have aquired onto ebay, may as well make some money back on them.
