Is it possible to fit a leisure battery charger permanently onto the battery leads in the caravan and leave on charge constantly

What is it you want to achieve, just to keep the battery charged? There is a charger in the van for charging the battery while on EHU, so not sure of the need for another charging unit unless you plan to remove the battery and charge away from the van.
I'm not in favour of charging permanently; my van is connected to the mains via a time switch which kicks in once a week for 8 hours and keeps the battery fine. I've done this for years without problem.

Hi, I do same only one a day for two hours, can only think that you do not have van hook up at home,and you want to use one of those smart chargers,and van leads disconected from battery,i understand that they can be left on for months chargeing the battery when it falls below 12.4Volts (i think) with no problems.
