Is you battery new or are you using an old one?

Years ago, when I had an old battery, the water pump kept coming on, I think it was because the battery voltage was lower than it should have been.

It should have been a new one? I've pulled it out for tonight, I'll try again tomorrow and check the battery, thanks

By not turning off do you mean you can still hear the pump running.  If so do you have a pressure switch (ours is under one of the front bench seats) turning this will switch the pump off. I have to adjust ours when we set up because of the differing pressure in water on sites.

Turn the pressure switch all the way down (clockwise) and then, with a tap open, slowly open the pressure switch until the pump stops. If the pumo then begins to rattle or chatter, you have opened it too far. We have changed our pressure switch to an automatic one and it is excellent, no more adjusting! You will see them advertised in the caravan mags, they are really good, easy to fit and they do everything that is claimed of them.

Ours did that we had to replace a micro switch in one of the taps.
