Don't have one because we don't need one but the only downsides to twin axle that I am aware of that are not covered by your Landy:

Maintenance costs may be a little higher, not least of which twice as many tyres to maintain

Some sites have unit length restrictions

Storage (if needed) may be a little more expensive

Ferry costs may be higher

fuel consumption will be higher.

A full awning will be dearer

You will probably need a mover which will cost more

If you want a big un you have a big un!

You only need a mover for impossible situations like the back garden and narrow drive, otherwise reverse it with the 100hp hitched to it!

Weight varies with model, a twin Lunar is often lighter than many single axles, and you can still add luggage without going over limit.

Thanks for the response Caz, very much appreciated. I like the 'go for the layout...' advice too, seems sensible to me now you mention it.

I can reverse a trailer just fine as I was brought up on a farm with tractors etc. I also have a tow ball on the front of the Landy too(prev. owner into boating), which should help in the tighter spots.

So, I just need to find a twin, learn to tell fortunes, find some lucky heather and I'll be all set.
