Hiya All,

We are after a porch awning for our Bailey Ranger 460/4 2009.  We want it under £100 and big enough for us to sit in if it rains. 

Any idea's?

Hi Lyns, you can pick up many a bargain through Ebay, put in your postcode and it gives you the items for sale ina radius of where you live, you can even go and have a look before you commit.  Other than that look in your loal paper. cheers gary

You have really got to be looking at used on ebay, dealers, classifieds etc.

We got one from ebay which is excellent. Well under your target price.

Outdoor Revolution Techlite One, 2009, in teal blue/grey, going here for £75, used once only to try it out on our van,as new, turned out to be a poor fit for us because of having our door right at the back of the van, it fouled the front windows for opening,and we had no spare rail to manouver it more towards the rear, but we have seen the same awning fits fine on other models. cost £170 new, if intrested ask the webmaster for my email address.

Blimey, they have either drastically reduced the price or we got badly ripped off with ours last year, still cheap and a bargain at £75 though as it is as new .

I think i would rather keep it as a spare than virtually give it away, I have wondered if we could fit it to the opposite side of the van (where there arnt the same door and window problems regards fouling) to make an extra sleeping pod for when family come to stay, but not sure how some sites would react to this, but maybe ok on a fairly large CL or rally field perhaps? 

Hi Try J R Leisure on the web. We got our Techlite 1 for £99.00, and a quick look see know indicates htey have some real bargains on.

Talk to the owners/wardens when booking. You're paying for the pitch and, as long as you pay the charge for every person camping on that pitch, why should there be a problem? One thing to ensure, however, is that no vents for fridge or water heater lead into the awning if you are running either of those on gas.

I think you are all paying way over the odds for your awnings. I bought a porch awning today in our local auction for £3.37 including commission.

A complete gamble - I didn't even need it but on checking it its a bit dirty - now clean and virtually unused. Even got some spare lightweight poles in the deal which don't seem to have anything to do with the awning.

We are off tomorrow so will use it & check it out properly before I decide what to do with it.
