I have a Trailking 7 water pump in my motor caravan and the taps continually deliver air as well as water, even when the pump should have been well and truly primed. I would expect some air after not using the system for a while and newly filling the onboard tank.........but not forever. Anyone with previous experience of this annoying spectacular please and any advice? Thank you!
Interested to see your responses on this as I have exactly the same problem with mine. I tend to suspect a ruptured diaphragm in the pump but I dont want to replace unnecessarily.
Regards
John

Hi, dont have that pump, but did have same kind of problem, even thought it was air trapped in a tap that had'nt been vented, tried opening every tap to vent, then discovered that the in line non return valve had jamed slightly opened, and every time filled up water carrier it would push air back through the system, as air always goes to the highes point,I would try venting it from there if possible, check water hoses at all conections to make sure that no air is being drawn into pipes from them. sorry not of more help hope you get it sorted.

Thanks John. I will look at that valve. I have emailed SHURFLO to see if they can advise also and will post any reply received. Thier customer service appears to be in Belgium. Let's hope that they can produce a solution as well as those rediculously lovely chocolates.
Well what good customer service! I heard back from Shurflo within about three hours. They sent a .pdf file of their manual which includes a fault finding guide and I am sure that I know the way to go now. If anyone would like it sent to them, just email me at bakershop1 at gmail.com and I will forward it. If I can put a link on this forum I will. I need to get the brain in gear for that though.

Not sure how you have gone on with your pump issues but mine now seems to be OK. After sticking my head in a bed box whilst getting someone else to operate the taps I noticed a very small drip from where the two halves of the pump join. Working on the theory that where water can come out air can get in I removed the pump and undid the philips screws that hold the two sections together. Here there was a seal which had lime and calcium deposits stuck to it. I removed the seal thorougly cleaned in and then refitted. A smear of an appropriate gasket seal on the outer edge of the rubber seal (so as not to contact the fresh water side at all) was applied before reassembling the pump. On refitting no air bubbles in the pipes and a vastly improved water flow.
hi. come across this prob alot. were the water connector goes in your van, put a smear of vasiline roound the O ring seal. This cures mine. even though i have put a knew O ring seal on.
