I have absolutely no reason at all to suspect a damp problem in my van. Two recent damp checks have come back as perfectly normal.

So why then have I become totally paranoid about damp. For heaven's sake, I have even dream regularly about damp in the caravan! Before I go for therapy, I need to tell my shrink if I am alone or are there others out there who harbour the 'damp demon' in the deepest recesses of their unconcious mind!

Goodness yes, after having an old van who was riddled with it an repairing it I was always vigilant, we now have a 2005 van and I'm forever pressing the Walls, sniffing in cupboards,I often say to OH do you think it's got any damp, he says no i say are you sure he says yes I say how do you know, he says because I've checked it all over with the meter, I say what if it's lying or it's not working, he says for gods sake woman get help!!!
So yes I do worry about it lol.

I'm with you on that too. We only bought ours in October.  In for a service in April, came back with damp in the rear corner. It hadn't penetrated the inside walls though. The dealer dried out and resealed her.  We do get condensation in the opposite corner if sleeping in at the back after a nights kip. We thought this was a leak. Our minds are at rest that's it condensation now though. We'll deal with that in due course.  But yes, big investment, pride and joy, of course we don't want that to happen to our babies!
