I bought a s/h Mr Shifta 1 a couple of years ago, and silly billy that I am I've let the battery go flat

Now I look at it I see that it's not a "semi-traction" battery as specified on the Mr Shifta website but a heavy duty car battery. I want to get some prices for a replacement battery to compare with the Mr Shifta originals (£89.99 on their website) but can someone with a Mr Shifta battery tell me what specification it is (e.g. Ah and dimensions etc). I know I could ask Mr Shifta but then I'd have to buy theirs! Also do I need a special charger for these "semi-traction" batteries or will my 4amp car battery charger do?

Thank you

The battery should have a code on it possibly 063 Thats a decent size for a mover.

Do you have a europarts down your way? They seem fairly cheap for batteries.

I would fit the cheapest battery with the same battery as long as it had a 3 year warranty or more. No point in paying more and the same thing happening again.

Must go and check my leisure battery now.

Thank you! It's true that the current battery seems to have worked fine, tho I suppose the semi-traction one might have worked better. The current one is 075 which is presumably up the scale from 063, and with a cranking power of 490. Expect I shall buy one online, we're a long way from anywhere here. thank you again.
