Bought a lovely immaculate awning last year. It's a Ticamo Lima and was originally bought in Spain. We've now decided that we need an annexe so the hunt started and stopped rapidly when it became clear that most dealers have never heard of Ticamo.

Next task is then to find a compatible annexe. Even though everything else about the awning is Inaca from the fabric to the storm straps an Inaca annexe won't fit.

So I've bought a 16ft NR awning and annexe second hand which should in theory be the same size as the 900 Ticamo and it's only just long enough for the mud walls to touch the ground.

Now I have two awnings to sell and I still haven't got any closer getting a bedroom annexe

According to michael's post here a 16' NR awning is only a 869-899 "A" measurement - far too small for yours as you found out.

DO NOT BUY awnings by manufacturers sizes THEY ARE ALL DIFFERENT! Use the "A" measurement it is the only measurement that remains the same

Our A measurement is 891 and the 900 is slightly too big so in theory it should have been OK.

The NR would be a 874 in reality - the mid point of it's measurement

BTW this french company sells annexes for your Ticamo awning I would think that they would ship to the UK

Thanks for that - sadly no annexes for the Lima which will need an L shaped zip and beading for the awning rail

What about having the NR Awning altered to fit? or asking if they could make an annex for the Lima? A lot of place do awning repairs/alterations, it could be worth asking.

Thanks for the suggestions but I think I'm going to get an awning inner tent and take it down during the day instead.

When I've sold the NR I'll have another look to see what's around

Or you could get one of those easy to put up standalone or a popup tent for in the awning. My ds likes his own space so he sleeps in the awning in his own little tent. Buy the cheapies as they don't last long and don't need to be waterproof. We've got a 3 man inner tent but it does take up a lot more room than a tent and can be put where we want it to go rather than where there are poles available for hanging an inner tent to.

On our first awning, we couldn't get our hands on an annex for it because the new ones were different. We were talking to the company who were going to carry out a repair on it & they offered to make us an annex. It was brilliant & they even made an inner for it. My nephew bought that caravan from us & still uses the same awning & annex on it, considering it's at least 14 seasons old it's going well.

If you've a good canvas repair firm in your area, it may be worth asking if they could make you one.

What about getting a universal awning, we had one for our old van and although the colour didn't match the awning, the annex itself was fine and came with an inner tent. It cost about £90.

I wish I'd known about your Isabella earlier, just got a Dorema off Ebay. Its in superb condition so I'm not complaining, but I weelly weelly wanted an Isabella..!!!!

Have you considered using a pop up tent which you use in the awning and put away during the day?? we used to do this and it worked well for us

the universal awning only fits awnings that have a fully removable side panel.we have a blue one to sell.will add it on to the adds later.(no inner tent though we use it for the new one)
