Are the stop lock bolts fitted the right side of the fixing plates. It could be that they are not opposing the force of the rollers. The ego has two sets of stop locks, one for each side of the plates, but in reality you only need them the side it pushes against when the rollers engage.
Is the movement closer to the wheel or away?
PS. Have you rechecked the torque of the plates after fitting? The first time I torqued mine up and used the mover, I rechecked them, and they need torquing again, as things settle. Maybe they are the thing moving?
