OK new to this and a bit dim about caravans! Adter much consideration and a lot of advice from the good folkd here, we bought some Royal Auarius and Waste Warrior. they look great, and the waste warrior is just the job. However we (well I blame my husband because what would I know!) have just discovered that the water pipe comes out to the front locker, and that is compartmentalised such that the aquarius and probably an aquaroll won't fit in it. Are we being very dim? MY thoughts are that it would be heavy to lift it up there anyway, so perhaps it is not meant to be in there, but does that mean it just sits on the ground with the locker open to let the pipe through? Or is it in the wrong place altogether?
Sounds like (although someone may correct me) that the water inlet is in the wrong place.
All the vans i have ever seen have the water inlet on the front right lower side of the van.

Your water inlet and waste outlet will be like all the other vans. They wont be in the front locker. poor water down the sink and look round the van to see were the water comes out. is there a inlet for your water not on the side of your van? there should be a lift up flap somewhere.

Its not a hangover, its wine flu!
Thanks for the thoughts. The outlet is fine and comes out just behind the wheel on the right hand side. There is an electric hook up point under a flap on that side too, and the toilet cupboard is further up, but nothing else. A blue hose comes out into the gas locker at the front. It does reach outside the van and would connect to an aquaroll sitting on the ground, but the door would have to be left slightly open resting on the hose.
I used to have an Adria Altea 432, The Altea is a basic caravan and as such does not have an access point for an aquaroll or its derivatives. It has an onboard water container of approx 25 litres which sits in the large front locker, the pump then just drops in the top as per the aquaroll. The locker is not big enough to take an aquaroll. You can convert it fairly easily by installing a whale or truma inlet to the side of the caravan where the locker is, but this will involve cutting a hole in the side wall of you van. This should be a fairly straighforward diy job but will cost about £40 for the parts plus sealant etc. Might not be worth it for the sake of an extra 10 litres of water. he drainage again is simple with just a pipe sticking out of the floor.
On our 2005 Adria Altea 502DK, there is a compartment in the front locker for the water container. In the winter we keep the water inside the front locker and in the summer we use it outside. There is a cover plate on the floor in the water compartment that swivels and covers a hole, it allows you to put the pipe with the pump conected, through to the outside and it then sits in the water container outside. Hope this makes sense. If you need further help, hubby is here and will try to help.
Thank you for your help. Looks like we will try to return the Aquarius and buy a new 25lt white plasitc water container. I will look for the hole in the bottom, but I think that might have been an upgrade between 2003 and 2005 as I didn't notice before. Might be easier to make a hole there though to convert. Is the end pump able to be used in an aquaroll type container? How do you stop bugs getting in? When we got the van it had a plastic container with the lid lying at the side and the pump sitting in it, but nothing to seal the top. Should there be a screw on cap further up the hose?
We've never felt the need to use an aqual rolly type container, we've always amanged with the square container. We use a plastic cap that the pipe fits through and then sits over the hole of the container. The cap looks like a dome shape that has a hole at the thin end (for the pipe) and opens out to sit over the top of the water container, It has worked ok for us and we haven't had any problems with the quality of the water in the 3 years we've had the caravan. We bought the plastic cap at a camping/caravan accessory shop some time ago. My description is not very good, i'll try to find it online and do a link.
