Hi there, have just bought a 950 trio cabriola awning. We've erected this as per the instructions but we seem to have 2 poles left over. We've fitted the central roof pole and the 2 side poles, and the 2 in each half of roof. There is a central pole to go into the ground and one in each front corner. So far so good but we have two poles which appear to have the stopper on the ends to go into the ground but on the top end is fixed a small piece of the awning material and also a butterfly flip with tightens a clamp around a pole but we don't know which pole these fix to. Any ideas would be appreciated. We thoughtg maybe they went outside of the awning from each corner (perhaps instead of guy ropes because we don't have those) but this could be wrong.
with the dorema we have apart from the normal ones required to hold up the awning.there is also two loose ones for the centre of each section = 4 poles.two for the roof and two from the middle rail to the ground.failing this they may be for a veranda type fitting where you can fold down the front bits.
------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.

I have had this problem the only use i can see is to put both to gether to keep the awning away from the door but same as you i have no idea as to what thes poles are for
I have this awning in size 900 and I think (from memory , I havent used it ) I have only 3 roof poles not 5 as in the diagram , but 2 extra front uprights as you describe, a butterly screw clamp type with a spiked foot the other end. I assumed they went in between the centre front legs and the corner legs like storm poles , just for extra support., as the diagran shows.
