has anyone had discolouration, where awning suckers have been, we put a brand new awning up, it was up for 9 days, when we have taken it down, we have 3 yellow marks where the suckers have been, and it will not polish out
Oh no ,not something else, I really feel for you it just seems to have been one thing after another. All caravans have their faults I know but you have had more than your fair share. To be honest you have put us off baileys for life!!
Hope you get everything sorted.

thanks , just waiting for a reply from bailey as to how to deal with it.dont want to t-cut a new van and if it does need that then my dealer can do it so at least when they wear the paint down to the alloy I wont be to blame !!

Sounds like a fault with the awning suckers leaching plasticisers rather that a Bailey fault.
Are you going to name the awning as no doubt if there is a faulty batch of suckers then this could happen to other caravans?
....and interestingly, in another post showing the new Stealth 'van, great store is placed concerning the GRP nose cone to protect the 'van. Been reading this methinks??
it doesnt alter anything.....bailey wont repair stone dents under warranty , the thicker film wont hide existing dents and looking at new vans with it fitted on dealers forecourt, still dented regardless. get a front cover £60 ,makes your van even uglier but stops the dents or fit ground hugging megamudflaps to your towcar is the only way forward so it seems.

or buy a swift
Are you saying the dealer was selling new vans with dents in the front panel?
Sounds like a good place to go for a well-priced new Bailey, especially if you're happy to live wih a dent or two and plan to keep the caravan long term.

Hi, we used black suckers earlier in the year on our van and these left black marks where they had been, used Fenwicks black streak remover and it did not touch them. As we have polyester side walls did not want to t-cut the paint but found an old tub of Silky in the garage. Used this and marks dissapeared like magic without too much rubbing/elbow grease etc. Just use lots of water to rinse. Maybe worth a try.
