Just collected our new Van, a 2009 Compass Rallye 634 from Cookstown Caravans. Have to report we are delighted with it although not getting to use it until first weekend in July but should be great.
Would love to hear what others think of these vans and any common faults we should look out for.
Also want to say a big thanks to the guys a cookstown caravans they are by far the best caravan dealers in northern ireland, I have dealt with four others in Northern Ireland and these guys leave them all behind.
Hi The Fultons, "Just collected our new Van, a 2009 Compass Rallye 634 from Cookstown Caravans. Have to report we are delighted with it although not getting to use it until first weekend in July but should be great"
Congratulations,if finding it hard to wait try a test run in your drive way if you can, presuming of course you have van at home,it will let you get use to all the switches and equipment before your your trip, the very best of luck to you and enjoy.
------------- If everything runs smoothly then I must have done something wrong
If in Doubt Check it Out.
Hi good luck with the new van just bought a new awning from cookstown caravans yesterday awaiting delivery the man was very helpful on the phone didnt have the colour i wanted but he rang round and got it for me hope it here for the weekend. Have had a few people recomend cookstown caravans to me. Once again good luck with the new van
Glad to hear you're pleased with your new caravan and the good service you got. We bought our caravan from their scottish branch, we also got a great service from the visiting crookstown staff when we bought our caravan..... Then they went back to Ireland and left us with the muppets in charge. We've had umpteen problems, they replaced our damaged centre chest slide out top with another top..but they put a clubman top on it (diff colour & texture!!) when you slid it out, it was as different to the bottom surface as you can get. Chancers.
Hope you have many happy holidays in your new van.
Nicky
John, thanks for the tip of trying the van in the driveway, I think we are going to give this a shot over the weekend maybe.
Nicky, I am sure you are furstrated with, drop Malcolm at Cookstown Caravans an email, he is the Managing Director for both dealers and has been very helpful in the past, I am sure he will do everything he can you make the folks at Kilkady sort your problems.
I have to say the our van hasnt been perfect but they have been upfront about the issues and have said they will put them right, at the end of the day as long as it is done with little hassle to me then i am happy with it.
