Being a newbie I have been looking for a second hand full size awning for a while only to find they are either too far away, wrong size, the age seems to be at least 5 years or I get beaten in bidding on ebay.
Anyway a couple of weeks ago I went to Towsure at Sheffield. A salesman in the awning department answered all our questions on awnings with patience spent ages with us on the relative merrits of all the awnings. He even checked in his book for our correct awning measurement, the service was fantastic.
We looked at the towsure insignia which was a bargain plus there were several laid out on the floor as returns with various explanations as to why they were returned eg no curtains, broken strap but mainly they seemed to be wrong size ordered!
Anyway to cut a long story short there were a few in the 850 to 875 size all returned as wrong size. We were offered a bigger reduction if we brought awning storm straps at the same time plus if we brought the awning we were given 14 days to inspect it and 1 years warrenty all this for........ £225. Normally I am one to believe there has to be a catch but...
Having put the awning up its perfect apart from a mud smear on the skirt which we wipped off with a damp cloth, the grey colour looks great. The awning went up easily with the instructions being sewn into a panel and having tented for years it took no time at all. Now we are looking forward to trying it out for more than an afternoon
