Any ideas on this would be good.  Our Adria's plate (Unica 502) says the MTPLM is 1300kg, but does not have an MRO weight.  Any idea what it would be?  Is there a standard weight added to make up the MTPLM?  Expect it will be around 1000kg, but not sure.

Thanks in advance for help on this one.

http://www.cuddles.abelgratis.net/adria.htm

have a look on here, most adria have a payload of between 200 and 250 Kgs, about average.

would think your MRO would be 1000-1100Kgs, but its guess.

Thanks for the link and info.  I have looked at that site before, but 2003 vans seem to be missing.  Before we bought it I assumed the 2002 502 would be the one, but both of these have much lower MTPLMs than the plate on the van says.  I think I will assume 200kg to be on the safe side, and m,ight take it to w eight bridge to check we are not over the 1300kg.

Thanks

The MRO is the weight of the caravan as it left the factory. ie empty of gas bottles & all the rest of your gear. ie unladen weight. it should be in handbook & on chassis plate.

Hi Earn, what I did was to empty the van of everything except the battery,Mover & 1 Gas cylinder (make sure toilet, water tank,& boiler are empty)then weighed it at the local weighbridge. You then know exactly what the van weighs with the basic's in it,& then by weighing every thing as you put it in you can be sure that you do'nt exceed the MTPLM

Thanks.  yes I would have thought it would be on the plate, but it isn't.  Lots of bank spaces and only the max load quoted.  The caravan didn't come to us with a handbook, though if anyone has one I would be delighted to see it, or pay to have it copied and posted.

is it definatly the caravan plate you are looking at, and not the chassis plate? mine has a plate on the chassis with just a max figure (ie the max load for the chassis) and one by the door with the van info on it.

if it is the van plate, is your van an import? and is it registered with cris?

Seems the MIRO if only a best guess, Read in a mag a while back one guy complaining his van was a LOT heavier than stated. Leaving him with very little luggage carrying capacity.

We have an 2006 Altea 502 uk, with a MTPLM of 1300.  According to the plate the MIRO is 1014.

Hope this helps?
