I have been informed by a uk importer that the size of caravans for towing has gone up to 8Ft wide and 24ft in length without the tow sec.
IS THIS A BIT OF WAFFLE OR IS IT CORRRECT

As I am interested in a west - star

and

7 metres or 24ft plus A frame

Any larger and you tow vehicle must be over 3500kgs GVW

7 metres is just under 23 feet, so be careful with the length.

7 metres is the max overall body length excluding drawbar, this has not changed from before. Only the width has.

However, is there not something about possibly excluding the gas locker? Seem to remember there was something about that.

The length includes the trailer/caravan bed but not any overhangs, but will include any box bolted to the drawbar such as gas box although most gas boxes now are part of the caravan bed
