Check that something's not switched on. If not when you connect or disconnect the battery do you get a small spark? If you do,something is draining the battery. Remove fuses one at a time until the sparks stop. Make sure you're in a well ventilated area whilst doing this.

Too far away to come and help, but first thing to check is whether the fault is electrical or with the battery. Recharge the battery with it off the caravan and see if it holds a charge without reconnecting it to the van.
If it cannot hold a charge off the van it's a faulty battery, not unknown but rare for a new battery. Check the electrolite level in the battery is just above the plates, if not top up with distilled water. I find mine does drop considerably over a little while.
If it holds a charge off the van it's an electrical fault on the van. Check you have turned everything off and all the taps are turned off. If you have microswitches in the taps and they are not fully off the pump will run continually, flattening the battery and eventually burning out the pump.

On my last 2 campers i have had a master off switch, near the door. If i dont turn that off the battery will drain quite fast (over a week or so) I killed 2 batteries before i worked this out. Hope it helps
