... on a new 'Van.
We've decided that our old 1990 Eccles Topaz is no longer any good for us, and want something newer, with more space and less problems.
Been looking for months now, and it wasn't till i read the latest Pratical Caravan Magazine, when they spoke about Coachman Vans, inparticular the `Amara` Model, that i fell in love.
We've been looking for the following:
- 4 Berth
- Modern Looking Interior & Exterior, with beech & silver style rounded furniture / sprung seating
- Side Dinetteso we can set the bed up early and still have a meal or drink without messing around
- End Washroom with swivel toilet & lots of wardrobe space
- Full Cooker / Oven Unit
The Coachman Amara fits this list almost perfectly, with good looks, good build quality and some nice kit.
The ONLY problem is the 2001-2002 models ive fallen for are JUST out of our bracket at around £6,000 on eBay and much more from a dealer.
We want this look inside,as we feel it really suits us.
Example Here...
I've heard MANY good things from Caravan dealers about coachman, and very few downsides, like thier weights, etc.
I would very much appreciate everyone's input, as £5,000 is ALOT of money to us and don't want to buy something that's no good. Should we wait till the prices drop a little, or look for something else? (If so, what)
Thanks for reading,
Dean & Poppy

We bought our first van 10 years ago, it was an Adria, we fell in love with the van after years of tents. Our last two vans have been Amaras, admitedly from new. We think Coachmans are one of the best. Yes they are heavy, but, you get loads for your money, its quality and its British!!
If I were in your shoes I think I would be looking for a local private sale and be very patient. There will be one out there fpr you.
A dealer only wants your money and ebay has lots of horror stories.
Just my thoughts
