All of us in our family with Sat Navs use TomTom of various models. They're very good. I've bought my two kids entry level TomToms as they've passed their tests & I like using theirs as much as I do my old 700 model.
I don't agree with folk moaning when the Satnav gives a direction & it goes badly wrong for them. I use mine in a heavy lorry & if I have any doubts about a direction it's given me, I ignore it & go a different way. IF there doesn't seem to be an alternative route to some of my delivery points, I put some effort into getting a phone number & call ahead to confirm before using what seems like a dodgy route. Common sense has to prevail with a Satnav the same as it does with a map IMO.
A friend of mine has just told me he bought a good one in Halfords, it has wireless hands free built into it so the specs are getting better all the time. You should find yourself a good Satnav for your £150 budget & I hope you enjoy it.
