Hi all, been offered an Isabella awning at a really good price, but can't work out the sizing.Have arranged to view it tomorrow.....but can any of you kind people help?
Its a size 1025,we have a Sprite Quattro,rail measurement 1049.
I've been on the Isabella site, and their caravan search doesn't bring our caravan make/model up .
Do you think it will fit?Or do we need Isabella size 1050?Have searched the internet to no avail, just very confused. Our current (very battered) awning is a Pyramid, size 16,1025-1049.Not sure how Isabella work out the sizes.
ive just looked onwww.highbridgecaravans.co.ukand they show sizes for this year of 1000-1025 then 1050-1100, they do have a sizeing thing so you can check your awning size but it doesnt seem to work on my pc?,

Thanks for the reply Mike and the link, just had a look, and it seems we do need a size 1050.Oh well, was a nice thought for a while that we could get a total bargain lol,
On the Isabella web site - If you just type in the Isabella size on their sizing screen ie 1050, then keep pressing Next Page - Sprite Quattro FB 2010 comes up ! Confirmation I guess, sadly !
You could always buy the smaller awning and then spend £100 having it extended.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013
There is a place local to me in Burton on Trent called the Canvas Repair Centre who will do it for you- they advertise in the caravan mags. I've never used them but have had good reports from people who have.
When you have an awning extended as I have, it never quite "Hangs" right on the end poles as the angle has changed and the front pelmit tends to sag a little.
I think you can fit an awning bigger than your rail size by about 20-30cm but not a smaller awning. Have you tried looking on ebay.....they have some great deals on their for isabella awnings!
We had darts put in our first Isabella awning to make it fit the caravan & it was a superb job. I know a chap who had a similar job done by another company & it was horrible. I guess it's down to the workmanship in the alteration at the end of the day & thankfully the firm we used is close by & very very good at what they do.
Why not ring Isabela & ask them if they think the awning might fit your van, if it need altering, I'd go to your local camping centre/shop & ask where they get their repairs carried out.
Alternatively, google or run a search on here for Kingswood Canvas. They're based in Britol & you could do a lot worse than courier your awning canopy to them for the work.
Hi there we have 2009 sprite quttro es and we bought ours Isabella was sold the 1050 and it is a perfect fit smaller just wouldn't do unless as mentioned you can extend it all depends on cost of awning I guess and cost of repair
Isabella do a fantastic job of alterations - but the price is painful.
We just paid £233 to have an Isabella 975cm altered to a 989cm. The price didn't sound so bad (£175) until they added on the courier charge and the VAT! It was a lot of money, but since we had the awning already and it was only one year old, it was still cheaper/easier than selling it and buying a new one
So, unless you've found one which is a total bargain, it's probably not feasible to buy it with a view to Isabella doing the work. Also, at this time of year, it can take weeks to get your awning back - by which time the season will be over!
