I have been looking at going from our tent to a Caravan instead....due to the dodgy back mainly, and have seen a few reasonably priced ones. However, my wife has said that some sites will not allow caravans of a certain age on site. I'll probably be getting something around the 1992-95 mark to try it out. I would like to know the answer to this before buying a Caravan, and finding out that we can't site it.
First welcome to the site. Personally I have never been asked the age of our van only the shipping length. Our first van was a Fleetwood Colchester 1993, and that was only 4year ago.

I think your wife might be getting confused with statics. There are sites where once a static gets to a certain age it has to be removed from the site, usually meaning that it has to be replaced with a new(er) one.
I think some seasonal pitch sites do require that your caravan be a certain age - I think the Plassey say that new seasonals must have a caravan 5 years or younger
I've never seen a site that says how old a tourer has to be unless its to be sited seasonally and then only once. Static caravans have that rule. Our 1st caravan was 30 years old and we had no problems

Good Luck on the purchase and let us know what you get :)
Thanks again for all your help...I will certainly let you know what I get. We have an outing in our current tent.(40 sq mtrs) on the week of the 16th, and wll start my search after that.
