Am I correct in thinking the Olympus is the new Ranger replacement?
We were looking at the Pegasus and Olympus yesterday and the Olympus seems much nicer than the Peggy yet I thought it was meant to be the entry level model?
I thought Olympus was new Ranger, Pegasus new Pageant and Unicorn new Senator.
Hi Esther,
Oooo. Looking is dangerous!
Bailey have said (at least at the moment) that the Unicorn is a limited edition van. The Pegasus has replaced the Senator. Bailey have officially said they are building no more Senator's, shortly after introducing the Pegasus. They have now introduced the Olympus and like you, I prefer the overall look of it, but don't like the fact that it is 4" narrower. One retailer I spoke to was a little dubious about the Olympus kitchen work surface, saying he thought it might scratch easily (or show the scratches).
As far as I am aware, Bailey have not yet officially said they are stopping the Pageant (I had the conversation with CC insurance in July), but personally I would think it is just a matter of time - they don't seem to be making any at the moment, but the way I understand it is that they do them in batches, and if no-one has shown to be especially bothered about them, then no doubt they will not schedule in a build. I think the future of the Ranger will also be in question.
Best wishes to yourself and Ian.
