Hi
Anyone got one of these and how do you get on with it. I am thinking of buying a ranger 540/6 at the end of the season? Anyone any tips for getting good deals from dealers at this time of year? oh and any dealers that may discount?

I agree with Avctaylor on getting the GT60 version for all the extra's they provide like the extra plug socket in the back bedroom etc.
Most dealers will give you a discount if asked and we also got a starter pack which included an awning and groundsheet. Our dealer doesn't offer one but as we'd seen other dealers nearby that did we asked him if he would and he did. We got the whole of the starter pack written down at the time of the sale so that nothing would be "forgotten".
We had one or two things remedied under warrenty with no quibbles from the dealer. I think most Bailey dealers are the same.
Imo the GT60 is by far the most attractive Bailey i've ever seen. I like the soft furnishing's, the decals on the outside, the wood inside and the solid wood door to the bedroom. All the other van's i've seen just aren't as nice or don't have the solid bedroom door or other little things that put me off. Obviously everyone is different but the GT60 ticks every box for me.
Just 2 negative's - there is no heating in the back bedroom and it's expensive to get the blown air heating pipe put up there, but we just take a radiator. And you can't really use the shower as there just isn't enough room. We knew that when we were buying it and it doesn't bother us as we prefer using the onsite facilities.
As you can probably tell i'm one very happy owner of my Bailey Ranger GT60 540/6

the solid wood door to the bedroom. ??????????
It is a fibreboard door with egg box spacing in the middle and cost £180 to replace.
The front window is in three bits cos to quote the caravan club the single piece front window is a money saving exercise.
But the GT 60 540/6 is the best van on the market cos i have one too
Bewere of the bathroom worktop edging strip coming off due to the supplier to Bailey not knowing how to glue the strip on. quote from Bailey.
The Full top will be replaced under warrentty though and the edging strip NOT just glued back on. reguardless of what the dealer says.
I have an e mail from Bailey quoting this
Please can you tell me what the procedure is when the edging strip on the bathroom worktop is coming away, do you replace the top or just glue the strip back in place?
The van is a Gt60 540/6 and is only a year old.
Thank you for your email
It would be suggested to replace the top
I trust this is of assistance
Kind Regards
Kelly Watts
