Whenever you sell expect a huge loss. I sold a 3 yr old Abbey 420 and dropped £5000. Now with hindsight I should of hung on and got a few more yrs out of it then prob only would have only lost a bit more.

It depends on your van, your care of it etc.. if you buy new you'll take the hit!

My advice...buy the van after the 1st owner takes the strain!!

In your case there is no best time to sell.. the longer you own it the greater the hit.. the longer you keep it its offset against the number so hols, the decay curve slows but there is not ideal time..the decay curve is steeper the newer the van!
