Hi, our caravan awning strip is 917cm, ground to ground. We have been offered an Apache awning sized 950cm, will it fit the caravan or be too long, many thanks, Margaret
Simple answer would be no, unless you spent money on having it shortened. You could physically erect the awning on the caravan but you would end up with an awning that was so loose that it would flap in the slightest of breeze and would have a roof that would fill with enormous pools of water ( enough to tear the fabric ) whenever it rained. The awning needs to be tawt inorder to stand up to the weather.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013
