our fleetwood sonta melody window within the door has came loose, in does not have a rubber seal just appears to have stuck on with mastic, it has been removed in case it fell of in transit , would the sikaflex be ok to hold the window in place
It seems to me that someone has removed the rubber seal as i have never saw a door window without one.If your van is an old one you might find it hard to replace, however silaflex is a non hardning sealent it flexs with movement at the same time keeping out water.A quick fix for you would be house hold silicon not the type for bathrooms hope ive helped

Being a retired panel beater i thot the chap was going to use something like seamseal for the window and i to dont recommend silicone for sealing caravans also it was a quick fix on an older van.
I know what you ment Jeff , it's just that silicone sealant can be a real pig to remove from a caravan once it's cured , so if at all possible it's better not to apply it .
