Hi Matt
After looking at a various dealers we bought two caravans this year, so some help for you.
If you buy say a 'Latest model' like for example the Bailey Olympus/Pegasus range you will probably pay near the asking price, as there is a waiting list, similar with other new models.
I am not sure what size you are looking for, In May we nearly decided on a new Bailey Pageant burgundy 7 series but when we saw a brand new Bailey Ranger GT60 520/4 which is almost identical internaly and we saved ourselves thousands! and finaly paid £12,250.00 Cash in April (no px).plus a load of extras negotiated (hitch lock, wheel locks, water & waste tanks etc). By the way we are delighted with it and not one problem found, mind we did test and crawl over everything at the PDI handover!
On the other side we wanted to also replace our 'south' caravan earliar this month, and again shopping around for this time for a PX price what a surprise, sales are now slowing down and negotiate all you can, we finaly ended up with a Mint June reg 2006 Bailey Peagant Burgundy and after 1 1/2 hrs reduced the asking price from £9,995 to £8.600!.
Do your homework for a new or second hand caravan 'before' you start looking, so you know roughly what you want and the prices, 'as a first time buyer' you are King in the dealers showroom, so negotiate hard!
Good luck
Mike
