both have good points and bad points and we really cant decide one way or the other they can both be ready in 1 week

the lunar comes with  alarm system and alko stabiliser

the elddis has no alarm and a winterhoff stabiliser

im so confused now please someone come up with some deciding facts

Lunar has a better spec.  I'd go for it.

Elddis better built, Lunar built for lightness less quality fixtures and fittings.  My inlaws used their 2008 Lunar twice and got rid, things kept breaking and just seemed shabby build quality.

Lunar I'm biased, I know ours isn't the same as the one you are thinking of getting, but lunars are really nice lightweight airy and and I think ours is well made never had anything break or fall off ( did in our old bailey tho) we bought ours on the basis that it was light , didn't want anything to heavy as it saves on Mpg plus we can move it around manually, when we looked at vans I kept coming back to the lunar, infact our next van will be a lunar quasar :)

Lunar, they are lighter because they use for example a very light Hardwood instead of MDF, and poplar ply instead of normal pine... it all saves a few grams here and there.

Ours is only 3 years old but nothings broken yet, and not had any warranty claims.

Elddis, no question, I do like the look of some Lunars but Elddis seem to have the edge in quality, a 'van is a big outlay for us and needs to last us a few years, we've had 3 in the Elddis range and all have been solid, dry & reliable.

Elddis without any doubt.

Heard lots of bad things about Lunar from unbiased trade insiders.

I have owned three Elddis caravans no serious problems.

Also owned a very good Coachman in the early 90's but even this get a delaminated floor after three summers.

Thankyou to everyone,we have finally decided!!!!!!!

After a whole weekend looking and thinking we even took my dad for a looking over both vans were fantastic but its ELDDIS for definate it felt like a better quality van.

The lunar was very nice but had just acouple more negatives than the elddis but it did have plenty of good points just wasnt for us

One more thing to you guys as this is first time we have brought off a dealership does anyone know if they will give discount to buy from there accessorie shop and do deals on awnings as we are looking to buy extra things while were at it.

once agin thanks to you all

If you're buying new, you should get a starter pack included in the sale.

White Arches of Rushden, Northants do an excellent one.

If not new, then you should be able to cobble something out.

I must say that you hear and read all about discounted this and that but when it comes to your turn, there's nothing doing. I'm always a little sceptical of these things.

Good luck with the Elddis.

Vic

We have an Elddis Sunseeker 505 (the dealer special of the Avante) and we love it. I think it is going to be heard to upgrade as it has so many things I love but we would like  triple bunk model as the boys grow. never had a Lunar so can't comment. But I love my sunseeker.

Lunar without a doubt our previous van was a Compass same as the Elddis Omega 2007 model and we got rid of it after a year we got fed up with the leaking side lockers.
The Lunar is much better built with quality materials used.
