Look at the level of cover and the small print as well as the cost. We always insure with the Caravan Club. When we had our last caravan stolen, they provided us with a new van of our choice and we even chose the dealership to provide the van. They dealt with the claim sensitively and efficiently - very, very impressed.
I have used caravan club to insure my van as caravanguard said they wouldnt unless i had 2 wheel clamps,1 hitchlock,1 alarm, and axle wheel locks
they said its because where it is stored which is at my dads house in the middle of nowwhere admittedly it has no gate or fencing, but caravan club never questioned it.oh and they were a little cheaper aswell i will never use caravan guard again.and now they said if i cancel as i pay by instalments they will charge me a 25% penalty

The Caravan Club are the largest caravan insurers in the UK, and they must realise that the thieves can get these devices off quicker than shelling peas. By keeping one device on it will at least deter the opportunist who might not even give the van a second glance with a security device attached. As I have already said, we have found the CC Insurance excellent.
We like Cover4Caravans as their service has been excellent and we did have a claim three years ago which was dealt with fabulously. When our renewal came through this year the price was good anyway but I still phoned and asked for a discount. Within about 30 seconds they had dropped the price by about £30 taking it from £140ish to £110ish which for our outfit is pretty good going. All it takes is to ask!
I have used E & L insurance for the last 3 years, Very cheap and good plans. I pay £144 to cover £10,000 worth of van and kit. Its also a old for new policy. All my caravan friends use them now too.
