My son has slept in a 2 man pop up in our awning although there are some sites where it isn't permitted so you do need to check, also some sites don't like you having heaters in the awning either.

Where sleeping in awnings isn't allowed, I wonder if the owners of the site have a peep in when we are all fast asleep just to check???

hi just came back from france and we use the awning to sleep in al the time ( the mother in law gets the bed ) and we have no issues just a word of advice make the the seal around the wheel is good and dont have your fridge on gas.

We just got back from yarmouth where our three boys slept in the awning for two weeks. They was warm and very comfy on their inflatable beds we also had a little blow heater on standby should they get cold but never used it. The boys was more then happy to sleep in it and can not wait to go again lol

Just ordered an annexe and inner tent for our awning as our son has decided he'd rather sleep in the awning than share the van with his sister and mum and dad. Won't miss the smell of socks

We're on a seasonal pitch and always sleep in the awning. It is a bit different as we have decking as flooring which is covered in a rubber backed industrial carpeting. We have an extra bit of carpet under the Intex Queen airbed which in turn is covered with...... 15tog duvet, mattress cover that I have added a fleece/sheepskin layer 2 single electric blankets (1 each as hubby doesn't like it as warm as me) then a jersey fitted sheet. We are then covered with another 15tog duvet with early/late season the choice of using the sleeping bags opened out for extra warmth. Is that cosy or what.

we bought a two berth caravan ,to ensure out lad has to sleep in the awning ,might deter him from wanting to come away

I gave my mate my old two berth and he removed the wardrobe and toilet and fitted bunk beds for his two litle ones. It looks great he then put chemical toilet in awning annex.we have two annexes on our awning, for older kids these have an inner tent with them. I usually sleep in awning on camp bed. Sleeping in the awning is just the same has a tent. I think go outdoors are cheapest for inner tents about twenty pounds for a three man one.

This size takes a double airbed, so very small men,,,?
