Hi - I work for Electrolux and used to fix these units. Your fridge system uses heat to work the chilling unit, from three independent sources - gas burner, 110watt, 240 volt element and 80 watt, 12 volt element. the mains 240v element is controlled by a thermostat also. The most likely problem is the mains element has failed open circuit, and is no longer heating the 'bolier' on the fridge. It slots into a central tube on the unit, next too the 12v heater, and can simply be pulled out and replaced, although you may need to remove the fridge to do it. Be carful removing fridges - its easy to scratch the units they are housed in - use narrow strips of metal behind where the fixing screws are inserted to protect the wood. Its possible the thermostat may be open circuit too, but thats not so likely. If you need more advice let me know! or if you want to know the theory of how the units work.... be prepared for talks on boiling ammonia, water tubes and mister Albert Einstein who actually invented the system lol cheers
