Hi
We have an adria altea 542uk 2006 caravan....sadly a few weeks ago whilst in storage we noticed someone had tried to break into our van...damaging the back window..(the small rear one between bunks and dinette). We contacted our local adria caravan dealer, sadly not the one we had purchased the van from as they are no more!!! and asked if we bring in measurements can you order us a new window...so we measured inside the window opening, the actual window with edging and even gave chassis number of van...but adria are saying this model doesn't have a back window and was it put in as an extra??? the answer is no and we have looked at other adria 542uk and they have back windows also...we have reached a stale mate on the issue and so I am asking, no begging for some other owner to measure their window for us and we can compare the sizes, I don't have them on me at the moment as they are written in a book in OH works van...but Ii can get them...I am beginning to feel like we are getting no where because we didn't actually buy van from this dealer...adria are also dragging their feet and its now spoiling the enjoyment of going away in the van...

any help from anyone please..our son is disabled and he worries about things...and then goes on and on...we bought this van as it was ideal for us....

Sorry to hear of your problems Sammy93. I don't have an Adria, but being vaguely familiar with the model I'm sure the window you mention is in the UK spec and not an add-on as you've been advised.
Might it be worth dropping a line to Adria's UK agent, there's an address in this link

We have just bought the same model and it too has the window at the back as you describe. I can pass on the measurements to you but it will be after the bank holiday as she is in storage at the moment.

I will post them as soon as I can unless someone else comes along with the measurements first.

It might be worth showing the dealer who is claiming that its an add-on, the 2006 Adria brochure (which can be downloaded from their website or I have a copy I can email you) as it clearly shows in the brochure, the back of the Altea 542 UK with the window!

Ours is also in storage at the mo so I don't have the dimensions on me & Sue will be able to get them sooner than I can.

Hope you get it sorted.

Mrs MacP

Hope you get it sorted. I am (impatiently) waiting to pick up my 542UK and it also has a window between bunks and dinette.

Was going to add a picture (yes I'm that sad I have pictures on my mobile!) but it is rather large.

You can clearly see it in a picture on this link http://www.outandaboutlive.co.uk/channel/reviewitem.asp?c=2&review=140

Thank you Sue for the measurement and Andy for the link.....most helpful and we are now getting sorted.

As for informing the storage what had happened it was the 1st thing I did as the house is next to where our van is....

Thanks again

Keren.
