Storage costs in the south can vary from £350 to £600 per year.
You don't say what car you are intending to tow with as this will make a difference. If you know someone who is a vanner take them with you to look at any van you have your eye on. A van that is 10 years old needs very careful investigation.
Buy from a good dealer who at least offers some warranty. Where are you in the south?

Weights are very important. That would be your starting point. No point looking round loads of caravans if you can't tow them.
