Hi All,

 some how i managed to crack my van kitchen window when taking awning down, question is as it is only cracked bottom left hand corner & crack looks like it wont gather water then freeze & crack more, whats the best way to fix/ stop more damage. buying replacement off ebay is £100 so fixing is cheapest option...

I've always thought this stuff looked the business ! Haven't ever used it though but It may be worth doing a bit of investigation.... ?

Obviously a replacement window is best - either new or from a breaker. But if you do want to do a temporary repair I used to use a clear fluid that bonded plastic more or less invisibly. The trouble is I can't remember what it was called! It came from a model shop and acted like the kind of plastic cement used for Aifix kits - ie it softened either side of the joint slightly so they welded together. I used it to fix several clear things where epoxy would leave a mark and it worked quite well. Maybe ask in a good model shop - one that does model aircraft where it is used for aircraft cockpit canopies. (Which is what I bought it for in the first place.)
